*ZHS boys track placed 4th.

* Athletes who qualified for the state track meet are as follows:  Gerald Thibodeaux – 2nd in long jump, 2nd in 100m dash, and 3rd in 200m dash; Garrey Johnson, Blair Thorton, Courtlind King and Gerald Thibodeaux – 400m relay team; Courtlind King, Blair Thorton, Kendirck Johnson, and Garrey Johnson – 800m relay; Malon Lee – 4th in long jump and 6th in high jump; Kendrick Hollins – 6th in the 100m and 300m hurdles; Garrey Johnson – 4th in the 400m dash; and Blair Thorton, Kendrick Johnson, Garrey Johnson and Josh Goliday – 5th 1 mile relay team.  The Regional Track Meet will be held next Saturday at LSU.

*1st Place in the 100m dash Rikeshia Overton, Felicia Dunford placed 3rd in the 100m dash, Valerie Stewart placed 3rd in the long jump, KeOshia Ghoram placed 1st in the 200m dash. The girls 4x200 team placed 2nd (Felicia Dunford, Brinisha Durand, Naudia Davis, anchored by KeOshia Ghoram).

Kendrick Hollins – 1st 110m hurdles, 5th 2 mile run, 1st 300m hurdles, and the boys track MVP; Rosagale Abella – 2nd 2 mile run, 4th 1 mile run; Kacey Harris – 5th 100m dash; Laura Beier – 4th 400m dash; Garrey Johnson – 2nd 400m dash; Joshua Golliday – 4th 400m dash; Blair Thorton – 1st 200m dash; Martavious Spurlock – 4th 800m run.  Also all of Zachary’s relay boys’ and girls’ team qualified for regionals. 

Boys’ 4x100 placed 1st (Courtlaind King,  Gerald Thibodeaux, Garry Johnson, Blair Thorton). 

Girls’ 4x100 placed 3rd (Rikesha Overton, Tanieah McGraw, KeOshia Ghoram, Kacey Harris). 

Boys’ placed 3rd in the 4x200m (Kendrick Johnson, Blair Thorton, Jamazz White, Courtlind King).  The girls’ also placed 3rd in the 4x200m  (Terry Segue, Tanieah McGraw, Kacey Harris, Jarica Garner).  Boys’ placed 1st   in the 4x400m  (Gerald Thibodeaux, Garry Johnson, Kendrick Hollins, Kendirck Johnson).

Girls’ placed 4th in the 4x400m (Kelsey Brumley, Terry Segue, Rosagle Abella, Jarica Garner). 

*All of these students will be representing ZHS next week in Regionals. 

*Coach Cupit was awarded Boys’ Coach of the meet!

*Kendrick Hollins placed 1st in the 300m hurdles.

*Rosagale Abella placed 3rd in the 1 mile run and 2nd in the 2 mile run.

*Kacey Harris, Rikesha Overton, Keoshia Ghoram & Tanieh McGraw scored in the girls 4x100m.

*Kacey Harris, Brinisha Duran, Terry Segue, and Tanieah McGraw scored in the girls 4x200m.

*Frances Anderson scored in the discus.

*Andrea Collins placed 3rd in the High Jump at 4ft. 8 in.

*Laura Beier placed 3rd in the Long Jump at 15 ft. 1 in. and 3rd in the 800 m run iwth a time of 2:40.24.

*Francis Anderson placed 2nd in Shot Put with the throw of 28ft. 5 in.

*ZHS Lady Broncos 4X200m relay team placed 3rd with the time of 2:01.7.  Runners were Andrea Collins, Tyreioin Seque, Felisha Dunford, and anchored by Kacy Harris.
